A day in Provence

Today has been a very long day in the car, not because of the amount of miles we covered but because we were constantly going up and down across the mountains. In the end we gave up and went onto the toll roads - I think we would still be driving if we hadn't!

not quite what we came for!

Once again this afternoon the heavens opened so that we could hardly see the road ahead. We are staying in a 'Sejours & Affaires' in Manosque, Provence for the next couple of nights. It's a little apartment complete with fridge and a couple of rings so we were able to cook for ourselves tonight. It's on an industrial estate as many of these places are and the view from our window isn't exactly great ...

... but it does the job and we will be off early in the morning again - in search of Mary Magdalene's scull, looking at the tourist information I think there are possibly some slightly more interesting things to see but, it's Andrew's one request so I'll go with it!
