Stuck in the Gutter!

Well having had a few days off work I have managed to create just a little bit of time to do something that I actually want to do! so I started reasonably early this morning and set about going through the instructions on how to publish my book book. It was all going quite well until I got to 'gutters'. Took a while to discover that yes, I do need a gutter but it's taken me hours to discover how to create a gutter .... and I'm not there yet!. You see I have 'works' and not 'word' and it appears one of the differences is that works has no ability to create a gutter. If anyone has any idea's ................ no, I didn't think so!!!!.
